A blocked drain is one of the most common plumbing problems in Sydney homes, and one of the most mishandled. Supermarket drain cleaners, plungers, and DIY methods only treat the symptom. They push the blockage further down the pipe, dissolve a small channel through grease, or temporarily shift debris. The problem returns in days or weeks because the cause was never addressed.
The three most common causes of blocked drains in Sydney are tree root intrusion, grease and fat buildup, and foreign objects or debris. Tree roots are attracted to the moisture in sewer pipes and can penetrate through tiny cracks or joints. Once inside, they grow rapidly and create a mass that traps everything flowing through the pipe. Grease and fat (from kitchen sinks, dishwashers, and laundries) solidify inside cool pipes and build up over months until the pipe narrows to the point of blockage.
Our process is different. We start every drain job with a CCTV camera inspection: a waterproof camera feeds live footage from inside your pipes so we can see exactly what’s causing the blockage, where it is, and whether the pipe itself is damaged. Then we clear the blockage with high-pressure water jetting at up to 5,000 PSI. This doesn’t just punch a hole through the blockage, it scrubs the full diameter of the pipe clean. Grease, roots, sludge, and debris are flushed away completely.
After clearing, we run the camera again to confirm the pipe is fully clear and to check for structural damage like cracks, offsets, or collapsed sections. If we find damage, we can quote for no-dig pipe relining (a trenchless repair method that inserts a resin-coated liner into the damaged section, creating a new pipe inside the old one). No digging up gardens, driveways, or floors. The before-and-after camera footage is yours to keep as proof the job was done properly.
Why book us for blocked drains
CCTV before and after
A waterproof camera goes through your pipes so we can see exactly where the blockage is and what’s causing it: grease, roots, collapse or debris. No guessing.
Jet blasting, not chemicals
We clear with professional high-pressure water jets up to 5,000 PSI. The pipe is properly cleaned. A second camera run confirms the line is clear.
Same-day when you need it
Call before midday and we’ll try to clear your drain the same day. We know a blocked drain isn’t something you want to put up with.
Relining when the pipe is damaged
If the camera shows damage, we can quote for no-dig relining (a liner inside the pipe that restores it without digging up your garden or floor).
No charge just to attend
We don’t charge a call-out fee. You get a fixed price before we start work, so there are no surprises at the end.
Seven days a week
We work every day including public holidays. Blocked drains don’t keep office hours and neither do we.
Need Us Now?
We’re on call 24/7 across Sydney. We aim for around 30 minutes. No call-out fee and we quote before we start.

How we clear your drain properly
CCTV survey
We send a camera through the pipes to find the blockage and identify the cause: grease, roots, damaged pipe or debris.
High-pressure jet clear
We clear the blockage with high-pressure water jets at up to 5,000 PSI. The pipe is scrubbed clean, not just opened up.
Second camera to confirm
We run the camera again to confirm the line is clear. If we find damage, we’ll show you and quote for relining before doing anything else.
Lifetime guarantee on our work
We fix the cause, not just the symptom. Every job is backed by our lifetime workmanship guarantee.

Drain experts with the right kit
We clear it properly and prove it on camera
A blocked drain can point to bigger issues inside the pipe. We don’t just clear and leave. The CCTV shows what’s in your pipes before and after, so you know the problem is actually fixed.
After 15+ years and thousands of drain jobs across Sydney, we’ve seen every kind of blockage. From kitchen grease to roots in the sewer, we have the equipment and experience to fix it properly first time, with our lifetime guarantee.

Two other plumbers couldn’t fix our blocked drain. These guys brought the camera, found the problem quickly, cleared it with the jet. Should have called them first.

Questions We Get Asked
- How much does blocked drain clearing cost in Sydney?
- Simple drain clearing starts from $79 during business hours. We give a fixed price before we start. No hidden fees. Cost depends on the type and severity of the blockage, location of the drain, and whether CCTV or relining is needed. A kitchen blockage is simpler than a sewer main with tree roots.
- Do you use chemicals or a plunger?
- No. We use high-pressure water jetting at up to 5,000 PSI for a proper, lasting result. Chemical drain cleaners are ineffective on serious blockages and can damage older clay or PVC pipes. They also create environmental issues when they enter the sewer system.
- What if the blockage is tree roots?
- We jet the roots out and check the pipe with CCTV. If the pipe is cracked or damaged from root intrusion, we can quote for no-dig relining (a trenchless method that creates a new pipe inside the old one without digging up your garden or driveway).
- Do you clear stormwater and sewer drains?
- Yes. We clear all drain types: kitchen sinks, bathroom basins, showers, toilets, laundry, floor wastes, stormwater drains, sewer mains, and grease traps for commercial kitchens.
- Do you work weekends and public holidays?
- Yes. We’re available seven days a week including public holidays. Blocked drains are urgent and we treat them that way.
- How do I know the drain is really clear?
- We run the CCTV camera again after jet blasting so you can see on screen that the entire length of the line is clear. You can keep the footage for your records.
- What causes drains to block?
- The most common causes in Sydney are tree root intrusion through cracked pipe joints, grease and fat buildup from kitchens, hair and soap scum in bathrooms, foreign objects flushed down toilets (wet wipes, sanitary products), and pipe collapse or offset from age or ground movement.
- How can I prevent blocked drains?
- Never pour cooking oil or grease down the sink. Let it cool and put it in the bin. Use drain screens in showers and basins to catch hair. Don’t flush wet wipes, cotton buds, or sanitary products. If you have large trees near your sewer line, consider a preventive CCTV check every 2 to 3 years to catch root intrusion early.
- What is no-dig pipe relining?
- No-dig relining (also called CIPP (Cured In Place Pipe) inserts a resin-coated felt liner into the damaged section of pipe. The liner inflates against the pipe walls and cures to form a smooth, jointless new pipe inside the old one. It typically lasts 50+ years and doesn’t require trenching through gardens, driveways, or concrete slabs.
- My drain keeps blocking. Why?
- Recurring blockages almost always mean there’s a structural issue: tree roots entering through cracked joints, a partially collapsed pipe, a belly (low point) in the line where debris settles, or a chronic grease buildup that clearing alone can’t permanently fix. A CCTV survey will show the root cause so we can recommend the right permanent solution.
